The current heavy rains pounding the city-country have baffled weather experts who had earlier announced that Kenyans were likely to witness sustained hot and dry spells in January. But after days of scorching sunshine, the rains have returned and this is not good news for soft drinks manufactures were bracing themselves for a “kill” during the normally hot spell in January, it now appears to have been short-lived!

Weather experts have expressed surprise at the turn in the weather pattern especially with rains being accompanied by cold winds. They claim this is part of global warming which has resulted in unpredictable weather patterns. “This has deviated from the weather pattern that Nairobi residents are used to,” said weather experts who now warn city residents to brace for more rains!
