Outgoing Busia County Governor Sospeter Ojaamong has said he is contented with the choice his party ODM made when picking his long-time friend Hon. Paul Otuoma party candidate for Governor of Busia County.
Governor Ojaamong urged his supporters to embrace the ODM line up which he claimed had rewarded his Teso community with two top county seats, that of Senator and Deputy Governor.
He also urged Hon. Otuoma to make sure that the people of Busia County, being from different ethnic backgrounds keep on living in peace and harmony, saying that he is there to defend the unity that has always prevailed in the county among different communities. Mr Ojaamong is contesting for the Teso South MP seat on ODM party. Paul Otuoma won the ODM party ticket during the primaries against his sole competitor, Busia Woman Representative Florence Mutua, after garnering a total of 49,330 votes. Mutua managed 30,696 votes. He will now face off against Mr Dan Mogoria and Nambale MP John Bunyasi
