Parents of a ten-year-old boy in Busia appeal for help to locate missing son

A class three student at Port Victoria Mixed Primary School mysteriously disappeared from his parents’ home in Marenga village last Tuesday. Marenga is in Port Victoria sub-county of Busia county, his disappearance has left his parents with unanswered questions of what happened to their son.

Ten-year-old Ferdinand Juma, was said to have been left at home by his parents to take care of his younger sibling when the parents went out to run some errands. The parents Everly Night and Johnson Wanjala have appealed to anyone who may have come into contact with the boy or have any information of his whereabouts to contact them through Port Victoria police station from where the matter is recorded under OB number OB-21/13/6/2021.

The parents are living in fear of their son’s ware bouts and the current status of his health, asking themselves whether their son may have fallen victim to an abductor.

A few days ago, a 23-year-old lady Hamsa Abdulwahab was kidnapped in Nairobi and a video released by his kidnappers showing her with some serious injuries.

The US State Department has in the past warned its citizens to take extra care before travelling to Kenya, the department warns on its website that says that violent crime and other incidents such as armed carjacking, mugging, home invasion, and kidnapping, can occur at any time. It adds that local police are willing but cannot often respond effectively to serious criminal incidents and terrorist attacks.
