The man became unruly, demanded the service number of the cops warning them of dire consequences if they failed to comply
A visibly drunk man, who lost his mobile phone worth Ksh. 37,000 to muggers at a bus station in Nairobi, almost got more than he had bargained for when he accosted police officers on night patrol blaming them for the loss.
The middle-aged man claimed he was a top gun in one of the political party formations in the country, he accosted police officers accusing them of failing to protect wananchi from muggers. The accusation did not go down well with the seven heavily armed officers who were at the time taking their supper at a restaurant next to the Central Bus Station in Nairobi.
The man became unruly, demanding the service number of the cops warning them of dire consequences if they failed to comply, two cops decided to drag him by the collar before slapping him repeatedly.
They told him to go and report the mugging case at Kamukunji police station instead of shouting at the 24-hour eatery whose management had earlier warned him against making noise.
