This year’s Christmas festive season may have come early for revellers at the newly refurbished Mercury hotel along Nairobi’s Tom Mboya Street. Revellers and all manner of patrons have been flocking to the hotel to engage in Live sports Betting. They have also been paying tribute to the late Pop superstar Michael Jackson who died in 2010.

Mr Jackson was described by his fans as the greatest entertainer who ever lived, with his sensational album “Thriller” selling more than 6 million copies in one month!

At Mercury hotel, Mr Jackson’s hits have been reverberating through a unique computerised disc jockey offered through an array of luxurious comfort that has made the facility a one-stop entertainment for many revellers.

The hotel has both traditional foods and international recipes adding that “whatever you order” will be available at hotel Mercury. “If it is not here then it doesn’t exist anywhere,” – owner Julius Gatu

According to the hotel owner Mr Julius Gatu, the hotel has finished rebranding and has fully refurbished spacious, clean and orderly facilities. All hotel rooms are key digitised and have DSTV linked TV. The hotel with a bar, restaurants and lodgings offers some of the rare spicy delicacies prepared “on order” with boiled tilapia “soup” and “spicy fried beef” becoming an instant hit with most customers.

Mr Gatu says the hotel has managed to weather challenges posed by the Covid 19 health restrictions but is urging the government to extend closing time. He says with Covid 19 infections below the 5 per cent international threshold, the government should lift the night curfew and open up the economy.

As the country approaches the festive season, he said the hotel had taken extra arrangements to ensure customers get “value” for money and remain safe.

The hotel he says has both traditional foods and international recipes adding that “whatever you order” will be available at hotel Mercury. “If it is not here then it doesn’t exist anywhere,” said Gatu.
