Hon. Paul Otuoma, the Orange Democratic Movement (ODM) party candidate for Governor in Busia County recently received an overwhelming endorsement from the Luo community who reside in the county.

Through their Council of elders chairman Victor Oketch, the community decided to back Hon Otuoma’s candidature after serious consultations among the community members from all walks of life.

They all unanimously agreed that Otuoma was the right person to protect their interests as a community once he takes over the office of governor. On the other hand, the community failed to agree on common candidates among the other aspirants vying for various seats. Owino Nyadi who seats in the Luo National Executive Council, lauded the community’s resolve to back Otuoma, terming him as a great supporter of Hon. Raila Odinga.
