Deputy President William Samoe Ruto is alleged to have instructed his lawyers to start compiling records about human rights abuse incidents being committed by Stae agents in readiness for filing cases at the Hague, in the near future.

The DP’s team alleges that the regime of President Uhuru Kenyatta is intent on rigging the August 9th poll to impose its favoured “heir” Raila Odinga as president, sources have divulged.

The DP told his audience at several forums in the US that the Kenyans face a major threat to peace and stability from the “plan to rig the elections”

Sources in the DP’s communication team in Nairobi and USA where he is visiting confirmed that the DP is ready to testify against President Uhuru Kenyatta’s government if called upon to by ICC seating at the Hague. Dr Ruto, a front runner in the August 9th presidential election alleges that President Kenyatta is intent on imposing an unpopular person on Kenyans as president. He told several forums in the US that the country faces a major threat to peace and stability from the “plan to rig the elections.”

Despite several assurances by junior officers in President Joe Biden’s administration, Ruto insists he has evidence the election will be stolen. He claimed he is privy to inside information about IEBC voters register already being doctored and manipulated.

The DP further claims he has evidence of electoral gerrymandering, ghost voters, and fake polling stations that will transmit “fraudulent results.” He insists that unless an independent court like The Hague intervenes, Kenya could again suffer violent post-election violence like 2007 when 1,350 people were killed and 650,000 displaced.

Raila Odinga has dismissed the claims accusing the DP of engaging in incitement, while IEBC’s top officials initially curiously kept a loud silence on the matter. IEBC chairman Wafula Chebukati has since said they will investigate the claims made by DP Ruto on vote-rigging. Mr Chebukati faced accusations from the DP of failing to update the voter register. The register contains names of dead voters who are still on the electoral logs. Ruto claims this is supposed to facilitate “ghost voting” in a massive scheme designed to propel Raila Odinga into office as president.
