The United Democratic Alliance (UDA)/Kenya Kwanza Presidential candidate William Ruto has gone ballistic with raw anger exploding into the public domain against his boss President Uhuru Kenyatta over his open support for Raila Odinga’s presidential bid
Deputy President William Ruto’s temperamental traits have come out in the open for all to see. The United Democratic Alliance (UDA)/Kenya Kwanza Presidential candidate has gone ballistic with raw anger exploding into the public domain against his boss President Uhuru Kenyatta over his open support for Raila Odinga’s presidential bid.
“I am telling this person (Uhuru Kenyatta) to leave me alone. Mr President I am telling you to leave me alone’’. ‘’Kwa nini una niingilia kwa mambo yangu? Waacha kunitisha na kunichokoza. Sisi sio watu wa kutishwa na wewe au Raila Odinga, wacha ni pambanena Raila – wewe enda nyumbani tutakulinda huko’’. (Why are you interfering with my issues? Stop provoking and issuing threats against me. We are not here to be threatened by you or even Raila Odinga, No. Let us (KK) deal with Raila, you should retire, go home we will take of you while you are there), DP Ruto said at a political rally.
All this anger from the DP came soon after President Kenyatta revealed recently how his estranged deputy was part and parcel of the planning of the multi-billion shillings government projects that he commissioned in Naivasha last week, the DP has rubbished the projects saying they are a waste of public resources. The President commissioned the up-grading of the Nakuru – Kisumu Meter Gauge Railway line, a water project and the inspection of the Naivasha In-land Container Depot, all based in Naivasha. President Kenyatta added that his deputy was not telling Kenyans the truth during his presidential campaign rallies across the country, the president said his DP was part of the cabinet that he chairs that had approved the projects.
The president said that his DP was misleading Kenyans when he says that he was not part of the decision-making when the said projects were being approved by the cabinet. Na hakuna kitu kibaya sana kwa siasa kama siasa ya uongo (It is bad politics to tell lies), the president said.
The DP, during his recent campaign tour in the southern rift, is on record telling residents in the area that the projects were his, that they were commissioned as a result of his influence and power as the Deputy President of Kenya only to be hijacked by his boss to benefit the so-called deep state and government-connected cartels.
At the Coastal, he was quoted saying: “President Kenyatta’s administration has transferred job opportunities from the Kenya Ports Authority (KPA)here at the coast to benefit his cartel and cohorts in Naivasha.”
The DP accused the President of threatening him and his Kenya Kwanza brigade, saying the Head of State should be a unifying figure. “As long as you don’t kill my children, I am ready to face you in this election with your project,” said the UDA presidential candidate, yet his boss never spoke of or threatened to harm anybody.
