“The Azimio team is trying to find ways of spoiling the Kenya Kwanza leaders to look bad as a strategy to woo voters but I want to tell them that they won’t beat us, William Ruto is the next President of Kenya,”-Lwandanyi MCA Tony Barasa

Senator Moses Wetang’ula’s allies have come out strongly to defend him against attacks from Azimio la Umoja One Kenya supporters. His allies advised the Azimio support base to stop attacking the Senator adding that he does not work for the IEBC.

Speaking at a Ford Kenya rally in Sirisia on Tuesday, Lwandanyi MCA Tony Barasa condemned the attacks directed at the Ford Kenya party leader and his alleged links to a Greek-based ballot papers printer contacted by the IEBC, saying that was a non-issue.

Mr Barasa said that the Azimio la Umoja brigade has sensed defeat and that they are trying to dig out small scandals to link them to Kenya Kwanza leaders to taint their names.

“The Azimio team is trying to find ways of spoiling the Kenya Kwanza leaders to look bad as a strategy to woo voters but I want to tell them that they won’t beat us, William Ruto is the next President of Kenya,” Barasa said. Barasa castigated Sirisia MP John Waluke saying that he is a non-performer asking Sirisia electorates to vote for Kasembeli Nasiuma of Ford Kenya as an MP praising him as an industrious leader who will bring developments to the region.

The Ford Kenya MCA blasted the current Bungoma County Governor Wycliffe Wangamati for failing to allocate a huge chunk of the Khs.400M that was passed and budgeted for by the Bungoma County Assembly MCA’s adding that the county administration has only set aside Khs.140M for the scholarship kitty

“We have been yawning to get an MP who will serve the people of Sirisia equally and that is why our Ford Kenya party boss decided that we support one Nasiuma Kasembeli to take over from John Waluke and steer this region to the next level,” he said.

On County politics, The Ford Kenya MCA blasted the current Bungoma County Governor Wycliffe Wangamati for failing to allocate a huge chunk of the Khs.400M that was passed and budgeted for by the Bungoma County Assembly MCA’s adding that the county administration has only set aside Khs.140M for the scholarship kitty. Mr Barasa urged governor Wangamati to release all the money to schools adding that when institutions resume next week all learners should be in school.

“When schools open next week we don’t want to see students sent back home for lack of fees because Wangamati committed to paying fees of the scholarship beneficiaries. Why is he hiding the money?” he said.

Mr Barasa urged Bungoma residents to support Senate Speaker Ken Lusaka’s second coming, terming Lusaka as a visionary leader who will fight the people’s interests and who will take Bungoma to the next level. On his part, Kasembeli Nasiuma, Sirisia parliamentary aspirant on Ford Kenya said that he is ready to replace Mr Waluke and work for the people.
